Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We use these figures in aggregate to improve the guides and do not use them to identify you.
Google's own policy applies to that data: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, by blocking cookies, or in private browsing mode.
Booking partners and their widgets
Pages carry links and widgets from our booking partners. When a widget loads or you follow a link, that partner may set its own cookies under its own policy.

Bookings and payments happen on the partner's systems. We never receive your payment details.
Data we collect directly
Contact form and email. If you write to us, we receive what you send, usually your name, email address and message, and use it only to reply. Correspondence is kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and troubleshooting, kept for a short period.
We do not sell personal data, and there is no account to register for.

Children, external links and changes
This site is aimed at adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Once you follow a link to another site, that site's privacy policy applies, not ours. If this policy changes materially, we will note the change here.
